OUR HISTORY
From dairy farm to championship parkland
Golf has been played in Te Puke since 1921, with the club moving to its present site in 1978 and opening for play the following year. The mature trees across the course today — all but one planted at the time of settlement — are a living record of the property's earlier life as a dairy farm.
The course was designed by Harry Dale (1904–1995), a celebrated New Zealand golf architect responsible for more than 60 courses across the North Island. His original layout has been carefully preserved over the decades, with a 20-year development plan now guiding the course's future under course consultant Denis Clark.

Dress code & course etiquette
Dress Code
✓ Smart, golf-appropriate attire on the course — no footwear that could damage the turf.
✓ Clean clothing and footwear in the clubhouse, free of mud or sand from the course.
✓ No clothing with offensive language or imagery.
Course Etiquette
✓ Keep pace with the group ahead — Te Puke encourages ready golf.
✓ Repair pitch marks on the green and leave bunker rakes in place.
✓ Give way to greens staff and machinery at all times.
✓ No phones ringing during play; stay clear of a player's line when they're striking.
